Taylor Swift and currently Hollywood music industry’s hottest talent displayed a very surprising performance as she kicked things off in style as the first performer to hit the stage at the American Music Awards.
The crooner won the Dick Clark Award For Excellence as Rap sensation Iggy Azalea also walked away with two awards for Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Album and favourite artist same category.


According to Iggy, those were her first awards ever and it meant a lot to her that she could stand against Eminem and Drake. Katy Perry bagged the Favourite Female artist Pop/Rocker and Sam Smith got the Favourite Male Artist Pop/Rock.

One Direction were not left out as they also walked away with two gongs Favourite Band/Duo/Group and Favourite Album “Midnight Memories. 5 Seconds Of Summer bagged the New Artist of the year and Enrique Iglesias took the Favourite Artist-Latin.
