Fiddy’s personal bank account has been frozen because he hasn’t paid the $17.2 million judgement that went against him in his legal battle with Sleek Audio, who accuse Fif of stealing their headphone design and the marketing it as his own.
The bank account will remain locked until 50 pays up.
A source told TMZ, who broke the story, that Fiddy still has complete access to his business accounts, which store the bulk of his assets. So he’ll be OK even if he’s short on walking around money.
The insider added that 50 is in the process of appealing the judgement, and says this is a “desperate attempt” on Sleek Audio’s part to get payment.
So we’ll see how this all works out. But, no matter what, it’s good lesson. The headphone game isn’t the road to riches that the story of the good Dr. Dre would have you to believe.
