Finally African musicians seem to have found a way of
combatting the deadly Ebola virus using their talent. Different artists
from around the continent of Africa have joined forces to raise
awareness to help fight and eradicate the deadly virus. The artist have
recorded a song that educates listeners about Ebola and will also raise
funds to help affected nations fight the disease. The finance will be
gotten through proceeds from downloads and caller tunes. Nigerian
artists who registered their presence include Praiz, Iyanya, Don Jazzy,
D’Prince, Dr Sid, Sean Tizzle, Iceberg Slim, Di’Ja, Reekado
Banks& Tiwa Savage.
The song to be released is a remake of Michael Jackson’s hit song ‘We
are the world’, Originally written by Michael Jackson and Lionel
Richie. The Ebola version which is titled ‘We Are The One’, is set to
be released this month.
