R&B Singer Arrested Reports say he allegedly refused to show his drivers license when asked to by authorities.

 

R&B singer Tank has been arrested by the police for using his cell phone while behind the wheel and for the way he handled the situation.

According to TMZ, Tank was in the Van Nuys area of L.A. when officers spotted him driving and on his phone - a major No-No in California.

Law enforcement sources claim Tank refused to hand over his drivers license when stopped by the authorities. As a result, he was arraigned and booked for failure to comply with the law.

A spokeswoman for the LAPD confirmed that the crooner - whose latest album made the top of the R&B/Hip Hop charts last month - was arrested just after 1pm.

Tank was then taken to jail and officially charged with misdemeanour obstruction.

The singer spent the rest of the afternoon in a cell at the Valley Jail before being released after posting a $10,000 bail around 5pm, police documents reveal.
He was taken home in a friend's ride, according to TMZ.
